52' owner from Vancouver

Hi guys, just found your site and it was so great I had to join. This is my first old car and the idea was to hot rod it, but it's in such good shape I don't think that I want to chop it up. So the plan now is to make it a daily driver. I'm sure I will be picking your brains for months to come, because as I said it's m...

58 Pathfinder
(Preview)
Hello everyone! My son and I are about to pickup and restore a 58 Pathfinder. It is identical to one that my parents owned back in the 60's. We still have it but too ugly to fix. My question is what chevy car does the pathfinder share a body with? And also looking for a headliner and windshield. Thanks....

Well first I must admit I don't currently own a poncho, however; I am hoping to change this in the next week or so. I am currently looking at a 67 Beaumont with a 427 for sale. If things go right I'll have it in the garage within a couple weeks. He is asking $25,000. I don't know where the motor came from, He ha...

Hi everyone. I need some help with Project 66. It seems i have an issue dealing with the starting systems. I do not have power to the ignition switch. The car will not turn over. The battery is good and the starter shows power @ the terminal. I need to know the location of the neutral safety switch. Also if s...

58's are my favourite, but I remember a 64 Laurentian 2 door post in town that was a 250 hp 327 bench seat 4 speed. We used to cruise around in a buddy's 58 Parisenne with the 348 P/glide, and had to replace the one side motor mount a few times. Also there was a 64 Parisienne 2 door 409 in town that was a drag car o...

Hello from Sundre Alberta

Hi all. My father-in-law was restoring a '57 Laurentian 4 dr sedan until his recent passing. My wife and I have decided to take over the resto. I will have many questions I'm sure, as I have a loose understanding of Canadian Poncho's but I'm not exactly knowledgable. I've been restoring, modifying, an...

Project 66 update

Just a little note that project 66 is going well. I was a little disappointed that the parts car we picked up in Manitoba is now going to be a driver. My bro decided that he would rather drive the car instead of taking the parts for Project 66. Oh well its his car. Anyway the prep work is on going. I have taken...

I have been a big Canadian Pontiac fan for a long time, but I just found this forum! I have a '66 Strato Chief 2 door post, 63000 miles and original paint. Don't get me wrong, it's a project but its pretty solid all things considered. A guy in the town I grew up in had an original black '66 Strato that was redic...

Good day and thanks for letting me join. I've got 3 Pontiacs right now. Most important is my 69 GTO. Originally from McNaught Motors in Winnipeg, I found it at a consignment lot in Calgary in 1999. As every classic car is, it's a project on the go. In the 10 years I've had it, I really haven't spent that much...
