Hi does anyone know of where I can find 261 straight six head,exhaust and rocker gaskets? Ive went to Napa and car-quest and neither of them have these they only have 283s and 348s gaskets. -- Edited by Strato-Six on Tuesday 5th of April 2016 04:56:42 PM

Almost ready to pull the engine in the CS. It's a 327. There is a white vacuum line connecting to the block behind the distributor on the drivers side. Don't remember seeing this before. Anyone know what it's for?

Looking at my 283 motor in the 63 and the fuel line from the carb to the fuel pump had been cut and a neoprene hose has been clamped into the works,same with the PVC line going from the carb to behind the distributor. I was wondering if anyone knows what the feul consumption rate is for the 261 straight six I have been reading up on the engine but with no results for the feul consumption have shown up if anyone can help or knows someone or something that can help answer my question that would be great thanks !

Can anyone help in sourcing a seal for a 1961 Pontiac 261 water pump. Bearing appears Ok but starting to drip. Can only find replacement pumps or places to have them rebuilt but unable the source a kit or seal. Anybody been down this road?? Thanks
