Trying to understand points
(Preview)
As part of my continuous improvement of the White 427 car, I jumped on the OEM points for sale by a member. But they are not the same as what was there. The all-in-one type is the same as a new-replacement set I already had on the shelf. I want to use the OEM but there is no mounting bracket for the condenser, o...

Oil drain plug torque?
(Preview)
Hey there, my Parisienne is dripping oil from the plug (at least), went to one of the shops, they said they torqued it but it doesn't seem to be true. Does anyone know what should be the torque so I'd do it myself and don't destroy the thread?

Fuel economy on 327/Powerglide
(Preview)
Hey there, just finally depleted my first full tank on my Parisienne and it raised a question - is 43 l/100km normal fuel economy for the car? No burnouts, just slow cruises, however the car was shipped with trucks and trains and i don't know what they were doing there. Also which gas are people use nowad...

What oil filter are you running on your Gen 1 small block these days.
(Preview)
Time for an oil change on the 350. No need to be fancy with this one. I'd just want the can to be like I remember them, not short. Simply, what's your go to oil filter these days on a SBC?

Rochester 2 barrel. A bad offshore base, sticky pedal and an adjustment note.
(Preview)
So after getting the 69 350 to run well without that infamous timed miss after a carb rebuild, another issue cropped up. The Gas pedal began to get really stiff and notchy. It became like a on off switch. No fun at all to drive the car, in fact pretty much undrivable. I also ended up with a strange issue. The...

Worn throttle shaft. Vac leak? Strange miss? Poor idle? Bench solution.
(Preview)
If you have a intermittent miss you can't track down on your 350 with a 2GV. It could very well be a vac. leak at the carb throttle shaft. Yes, we didn't listen to you guys. I've got my 350 sorted well now. Runs nice after three carb benching's and a good setup. No mis. I'm expert good at these now, I was kind of...

Can an old canister style fuel sender be repaired?

Well, we just have to find out now don't we... This video inspired me in thinking.... it might be possible, Seems a simple and clever design. The key here is the can is an accumulator of gas, and as such isn't as susceptible to instant level c...

Hi guys, I'm getting close to getting my 68 2+2 back on the road, after almost 2 years. I was going through the engine bay and painting odd parts. I came across this plunger/striker thing installed on the drivers side of the carburetor and it has 2 wires coming out of it but they aren't connected to anythi...

Is it possible to buy just a carb needle and seat? At least local.

Looks like ethanol has struck and my Rochester 2GV carb on the 69 is suddenly flooding internally. I'm taking a good early guess and thinking the needle neoprene has been ate. Wondering if there is anywhere that has just the needle and seat? Or.. Someone that has just a spare needle? I know there are c...
