What we have here is a 64 Canso, one of 606, sold new on Vancouver Island. It was originally a 6cyl/glide car, currently it has a th350/283. Right now there are pedals for a four speed installed and a hole cut in the floor. I received a four speed with the car, a sag, and this will go in with a 327/350hp. The car is in excellent shape, but will undergo a full rotissorie resto. I've owned it for about 2 years, but it's stored in my garage. (I had a quarter mile/street bruiser car to sell first.) In the last 2 years I have bought: some emblems, bellhousing, flywheel, new clutch, some interior, trans hump&boot, trans rebuild kit, new holley carb, ignition, points elem., coil, mirrors, locks, and stainless to build my headers. I have never driven this car on the street, but, hope to start this year. I will build a driveline, buy every conceivable part needed, then blow it apart and try to do the body in less than 2 years. My hope is not to have the car, "stalled" in restoration mode in my shop like so many other people's cars do. I did purchase this car locally, the seller bought this car from the island, brought it to the interior(3kms from my house), turned a couple bolts, lost interest and you know the rest. That was seventeen years ago!!!!
Well, I'm sure that I missed some interesting points, but that about covers it.
