Great video. I miss the 80's...
Wasn't there another band that did a version of "Mississippi Queen" and had a video of the song with a 68-9 Beaumont doing some dirt road drifting?

I've been told that some of the guys from the Winnipeg area are familiar with the video. It was shot in 1991   several years before I purchased the car.
The singer is a Canadian Folk singer named Marc Labossiere. This video seems to be quite different from his other stuff. I think its cool and often break it out
every once and a while when I need to smile. I hope eveyone enjoys it. biggrin

Great video Bill. Thanks for sharing.
I agree with Todd; I sure have some fond memories of the 80's. Music, hair, ragtops and hardbodies.......I mean hardtops..

I didn't read through this thread very closely before I watched the video. As I watched, I kept thinking "I know that car" and then "that one too, and that other one too" and soon I realized it had to be a Manitoba video.

Sure enough, the credits confirm that.

I believe the current owner of the Beaumont is on here with us, is he not?

The owner of the car at the time of the video is still around Winnipeg. When I bought a 94 Trans Am wreck at an insurance auction last spring, he ran the forks that loaded it on my trailer for me. We sat and yacked about cars for a while after he did that. I don't think he's got any GM's any more. Seems to me he was talking Dodge stuff. What a shame, that SD car is such a neat, unique car. Can't see myself defecting to the Dodge camp after having a car like that.

definitely a winnipeg band and video, some of those cars are still around town.... and at that time they were the usual suspects out on sunday night or at the shows.... i was asked to bring my car to that shoot, but didnt want to spend the day there seeing as my black top wouldnt go down too easy! the owner you are referring to had a panther pink AAR cuda and the Sd convertible at that time, then went onto to a Superbird...not sure if he still owns it... so he's had some nice mopars along the way too!!

For some reason, I thought i remembered this car as a 3spd standard on the column? Is is 4sp on the floor then?

Very nice car, nicely detailed, from when i remember it at winnipeg shows...

If I remember correctly it is an original 3 speed manual bench 350 h.p. car.

I believe you remember correct. And if not, then two of us old gray hairs are wrong...

The car is originally a 3spd (not on the column though) bench seat car. I drive it as often as I can in the summer months. This is the car I use with the family for cruise nights and ice cream runs.  I tried to get 2RARE for my plates but that was taken in NY so I went with the next best thing.

Ha!   cool,  yes Trucker,  you need  this video!  your car is in it as the main attraction.

Singer is Marc Labossiere,  i think he may live in the st.pierre-jolys area in manitoba.  You may be able to google him

I think the video has been removed. I did a search for it and found who sings it but no video.
