Call the cops! My avatar's been stolen...

Talk about a low blow. I've been sick most of the day today, checking in periodically. During one of my times away from the computer, someone who will remain nameless (but shares the same first name as me) stole my custom made Canadian-Pontiac-with-CHEVY-emblems-on-it avatar and is using it on his posts too!

That must be copyright infringement or something!!! Shouldn't he have to pay me royalties on it, or at least a flat fee???

Carl, I can't believe it took you so long to respond. I dreamed that one up last night, specifically to take a jab at you!!!

I made these myself when I decided to go with ralleye wheels last year. I prefer that cap but all they made, so I thought was with the chev motor division on them

Yes, I made them. I wanted something different. I took the chevy center caps and sanded out the chevy lettering and also removed the grooved lines in the center. I then had them rechromed. I had an Auto graphics business down the street from my office make the centers in vinyl. They turned out pretty good but after all that with the chroming were expensive.
About a month after I made them I went to a wheel supplier here to pick up 2 ralley rims(for my slicks) and be dammed if he didn't have center caps with no engraving on them. Shheeeshh.
So a center cap is available that you would just have to paint the black insert and the outer circle to get a cap very close to the originals
Live and learn haha

oohh, I just noticed that is your horn button. LOL I thought it was a center cap

The vinyl was sticky 1 side. The A was a cutout to reveal the chrome on the cap, but you could paint the back white or even red might be more appropriate?? not sure.

I have a few extra of the vinyl inserts. The girl made about 8 of them for me for $20. I can send you 1 if you like to see what they are like

Didn't the same fellow that reproduces a lot of the Beaumont emblems also do the Pontiac small center caps?

He had the Beaumont centers made for disc brake and non disc brake cars. The center has a different part number than the one for the Pontiac but they must be very close.

You mean the center cap for Beaumont (non disc brake) and full size is not the same?

The part number for the center is different but I am not sure how much different they are.
