Beaumont El Camino ?

Has anyone ever heard of anyone building one? A friend and I were just thinking that it would be cool to do. We have a line on a good 65 El C. We figured that we would need a grille, dash and seat, steering wheel looks the same except horn cap, name plates, anything else?

How would it be viewed once finished ? It falls into the category of 1 of none or what if...

Ok then so it's not that far fetched. This El C is originally a 327 car but it now has aa 80's Chevy V8 305 or 350 with a 700 R 4. Now what will we call this truck? Any suggestions? I favour names already used by GM, Beaumont Safari? Beaumont Sprint? Beaumont Carryall?

willey called his an el-beau. but i was partial to beaumino. if i wasn't doin this 63 rat wagon i probally would have done the elky job to my dads old 67 beaumont wagon. but the better half was mentioning something about a back seat with the rest of the family. it's a little crowded when we travel to car shows and whatever in the 55 GMC.

You could mix Beaumont and Ute (which is what they call them in Australia) and call it a "Beaut"
:)

I have a 68 El Camino I thought about doing this to. I have most of the parts that I would need.

I still like the name I came up with: "Beau-coupe"
