Any Pontiac is usually 2 lengths in front. Is that as good as 2 widths? wink

Any closer pics of the GTO?

Nice color!!  Do you have any close up shots of her? In the flesh.
And I see she had the Judge stuff on her, Is she a Judge?

She's a 242379B16XXXX GTO with a #62 Head Pontiac 400 YS motor. She is NOT a documented Judge...if she was, I suppose I would not drive her the way I do, because she would be worth about 25,000 more than she is. Original colour was a rare crystal turquoise. When I was 18 (a long time ago) I spied my first Judge, and I wanted one. I couldn't afford the big bucks they are drawing, so I bought a solid 69 GTO, and I have turned it into the car I always wanted.

I have added all of the judge options including Ram Air III, so the only way to tell what she started as is by the PHS documentation.

Seats are parchment and original. Original motor, transmission, heads, exhaust manifolds and intake manifold were on the car when I bought it. The numbers matching engine has been removed and is on an engine stand in my garage.

She turns heads wherever she goes...pushing about 360 HP on a punched YS replacement engine, shifting on a 3 speed TH400 tranny with a 2800 stall corvette torque converter and stock 3:55 gears...

This girl eats rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I will mosey out to the garage and add more photos this week. Gotta love those pontiacs...especially those GTOs!

Nice. Gotta love the American made (or Canadian made) rice eaters.

More pictures taken today as I rolled the old girl out of the garage after a long Ottawa winter.  Note that there is STILL snow on the ground on 11 Apr 08, which means I will likely not hit the road until mid-May by the time all of the salt is gone!

Great car!!..very nice indeed. I had an ol ford van to trade for a car yrs ago 1980..it was the dead of winter and some guy drove up in a 69 judge, white he was gonna trade me straight across ..i was so excited my heart almost stopped..he had a small child with him, and we couldnt get the heater to work in the van..so he finally just left, said it was too cold for his kid otherwise he was gonna trade!..still have nightmares about that.

You've done a super job here! A real head turner.   I've always said "Take car of your vehicle, and it will take care of you". Do you belong to any GTO clubs out Ottawa way?

Mine won't look that nice as long as I remain as cheap/lazyevileye as I am.LOL.

Just a reminder that the guy with the GTO that started this post hasn't been on for close to 3 years. This just got livened up when 80 GPLJ went after every old thread he could find.
