Refresh my memory, did this thing have a purpose or was GM just having fun?

Or is that not the one I am thinking of? Is it a GM vehicle?

Apparently they had 10 of them, that travelled all over US from thirties to late fifties with a fleet of cars and a giant tent to promote GM activities..There are 4 left .  1 sold at B-J FOR 4 MILLION   Billy Graham, even used one, after they (GM)stopped touring... They have dual front wheels, with a posi type unit to allow turning  They would be real scary, to drive under a overpass today!
