I have a Weber carb setup for sale that is on a 1500 spit but could be used on a number of the 4 cyl cars, such as MG. It is a Weber DCOE 45mm carb. I want $500 obo. A pair of spitfire tail light assy 71-80, very good condition $50 A complete new beige interior, new seats & panels $850 A good used header for 1500cc, $75 A good used Monza style exhaust $175
I plan to be in Oshawa, ON Aug. 22,23,24 please email me for parts availability and possible pick up or delivery that weekend. Halletts1@chartermi.net
Do you happen to have any of the early flip-top gas fillers?. There's a specific one I need made by Enots of England w/ the edge clasp and used on some earlier TR's also other Brit cars and bikes.. The were called the Monza style w/ smooth tops and a threaded base, similar to ones often used on boats but without the bolt on base.. They were the factory fillers for 72 & 73 SkiDoo factory race sleds and I'm short a few.. Longs shot you've got any but they're often passed around the Brit car guys so I thought it worth a whirl?.
I laid a MG Midget on a chum fixing a Spitfire a buncha' years ago...I see him every now and then and can ask if it's still around if you want any more?.
Also there's a Spit GT hidden in a lean-to shed across the road from me and whenever I've asked the fella about it he says he's gonna get to it some day.. I've never seen it up close so can't say how good or bad it may be but if you have a bad wanting for a GT, I have a feeling he may let it go if someone was standing there w/ cash in hand?. Of course it's a red one...weren't they all!
Thanks!

I miss my old Spit. Sold it 2 years ago. Dumb move. I wouldnt mind another at some point-would have to be solid though. Here's my old one with the hardtop (just out of winter storage):
My wife wasn't impressed with me when I sold it! Todd
Oh yeah! I think 22 bucks worth of gas filled it and it seemed to last forever. They don't have a lot of horsepower, but since you are so close to the ground you feel like you are really moving. I'd could turn corners at 60kmh. They feel like go carts. The down side? You feel REALLY vulnerable around Escalades! Still, it was dumb of me to sell it. Sometimes I get so caught up in buying and selling old cars, I forget how much fun owning them can be!
