CHROME RALLY II WHEELS

I am a CHROME wheel junkie!!  THERE, I have said it... I have chrome wheels for everything... I took the No Nova with the Torque Thrusts, because they were shiny, and my wife liked them.... She has chrome 20's on her 07 Suburban.  I like Rally II wheels, but found these chrome ones...  What do you think?  (Only positive answers) will be read... e-bay #  320297490597  Carl

I like chrome too, but only on after market wheels. I think factory wheels should look "factory" but hey, whatever floats your boat.

OK    I guess I will leave the Torque Thrust wheels on, until I can get them chrome plated    Did I tell you I hate polished wheels?  Did you know, you have to, polish them?  How about the Canadian Pontiac rally wheels? THEY are shiny and no polish..  Maybe I can put the Torque Thrust wheels, on my S10 for the winter hmm   lol

Why not go for the original factory look and put on Pontiac Rally II wheels ? BUT the ones you have look fantastic!

You are correct!   The wheels on it now look "good"  BUT I think the Rally II would plain it down, and I hate polishing wheels, so I thought the chrome factory wheels, would be a good  mix..     If you guys would, come over once and a while, and shine up the TT ?     Since the car isn't a true Canadian Poncho (being built in U.S.and sold in both countries, but does have chevy power) the aftermarket wheels, keep it more "politically correct"    How about yellow wheels, with redlines ,and dog dish caps?    spoiled in Clinton C2

Red lines would work, look at the September Feature car, but getting out of the era the car is from. The colour would work well though with the red lines.

You are correct again. I never thought of the era change.. I was always a car nut, and always in the tire business.  I only saw 1 DK GREEN 67 GTO with red lines! One car!  I think there are more cars, now running wide white walls, than were ever sold..  Do you think redlines on Torque Thrust would work..

That is the exact reason I got chrome plated torque thrusts direct from American Racing after having the polished aluminum ones for a grand total of exactly one season.  I'm getting too old and lazy to spend every weekend polishing aluminum wheels.  Chrome is great, lay down some chrome polish at the beginning of the season and they look great for the duration.  The guy who bought the aluminum ones from me stupidly left them on his car when it went to the body shop.  It sat in there over a year.  I don't think he will ever get the polish back no matter what he does, probably his only option is to have them professionally re-finished (which can equal the cost of a set of new wheels) or chrome plated.

They sold red lines into the 70's, so I think you could argue they would be a correct period replacement.  If you keep the TTs, blackwall or white letter only, even better if you could find some old bias plys like Brad has.  Personally I would go with the yellow painted steel wheels with the poverty caps, I love the sleeper look!wink

I like the rally wheels you have on the car now, with paint & small caps. Redlines would be a bonus but RWL or blackwalls also look nice. There's a 66 Strato Chief 2 door post here, also white, with the Pontiac Rally wheels including the chrome trim rings, and it doesn't look nearly as nice as yours with the setup you have.

Carl, I meant that there is a car similar to yours here in my city. It has the Trans Am style Pontiac rally whees. Your Vette style wheesl & caps look much better.

I agree; The sleeper look is the way to go.My second choice is the Ralley 2's with trim rings and the locking PMD caps then the Corvette Ralley wheels
