Two weeks ago our oldest dog had surgery at a cost of $3,100 ! If anyone has a dog a wife and 3 kids you'll understand but as the only voice of reality in the household I checked with the Pet Plan folks in Winnipeg before consenting. They said they would cover up to 80% as per our policy.
Today a cheque for $2,438.92 arrived in the mail. When my wife called me you could have blown me over with a feather!
what's the pet plan cost? wife has a 2 year old c0ckapoo/papillion that's higher up the ladder than me.
It's not cheap, $36 per month times 12 months times 8 years = $3,456
But they paid out other claims for $100 and $200 and what not over the years so we are probably close to even. Basically a way to save for the big claim. Oh ya, they also have the unspeakable death benefit of $750.
I assume that's per pet? We have 3 cats and a ****atiel. One of our cats needs insulin shots twice a day... Yes, it's expensive but I can't argue with my wife about it when there's a garage full of tools and a Pontiac behind the house..
