The price is right on this one, needs a little TLC though:

Maybe you need a tach too:

But you'll like this mint Vaccum Gauge for sure:

Almost forgot about your switches. These are window switches but suppliers may have what you need.

Thanks for the tips on the switches!.... hopefully they have the lock I need.  As for the vac gauge,  I need the Canadian version that came standard in the Custom Sport.  Was in place of the clock.

I assume your set up is like the photo below.  Just a suggestion but would the guts of that $10 one go in the pod that presently has your clock? Might be a $10 risk worth taking? Don't know your particular experience with Canadian cars but often we can use US Pontiac or Chevrolet OEM parts that interchange.

You are aware that there is no power locks in electric in 65? I assume you are putting in a later system?

Yes, the original were vacuum operated so I installed electric solenoids in the doors and have one switch that I picked up accidentally on eBay.  First time I have seen one (electric) in the matching style of the window switches with rounded corners.  I have no idea what year or model it is from but the toggle part is the same and the bezel surround is wider and of course has the word LOCK on it.

I could modify a gauge to work in the dash but, call me weird, I am trying to keep the dash and interior as original as possible.

I know the ones you mean. If you got that switch for under 200 bucks you got a good deal!!! Those are one year only. I have a pair, but not for sale, sorry. They have a home waiting for them in my garage!

I plan to do the same idea. I have the later solenoids made to fit the older cars. It's 70 only if you didn't already know that.

I assure you no one on here will call you weird for doing that.  You might have other habits that could be classified as weird but that is not one of them! smile

Wow, guess I did get a deal then! I bought a set of well used window switches for under $20 on eBay and when I opened the box I found the lock switch too. So this is year specific to 1970 only... interesting.

WOW!!! I thought I was the only guy with that kind of good fortune!
