What can I say, I'd love to see it converted into a wagon but hearses always give me the creeps.  fear.gif

When I worked at a Caddy dealer we used to work on a lot of hearses. Some of them stunk like formeldyhide in the back. Gross! Alot of them had VERY poor body work as part of the conversion.

They always give me the creeps as well.  I wonder why the funeral homes even have to replace them?  It's not like they get a lot of miles put on them and wear out...

It's totally practical, got lots of room for cargo...and lots of leg room in the back!

Here are a couple pics of my 54 Coupe. Sorry for the picture quality, they are a digital pic of an old photo.

I think rust out , ie; body cancer bubbles and breakdown of cooling systems is what does in the most of them. I couldn't ride around in one . It would give me the jitters.

Very Nice Brad, my uncle had a very similar one back in the day. I used to love riding around in that when I was about 8 years old. He lived in Niagara Falls and we'd drive down Clifton Hill and the necks would be snapping around to see this beauty passing by. I'd sit on the centre pull down armest, my Dad would drive and my uncle would wave at everyone he knew. (He was an Alderman) His top was the same as your body and the body was a pale green with white interior. That's the car that got me hooked on Cadillacs,. He had a few others after, a 67 Coupe sticks out in my mind. I knew one day I'd have to own a Caddy. Thanks for the memories. biggrin

Which makes me wonder, what happens at the funeral for a hearse?
Is the steel "haunted"?
