I made it to London. What a mess it is in the city! About 15cm of the wet stuff fell. Trees down all over the place. Cars in the ditch. Stoplights are out all over the city. Thats the funny thing about squalls. You can have nothing in one place, drive 15 minutes and be in a mess.
What a mess in downtown London this morning. How ironic is this; We have 2 all wheel drive vehicles. A Jeep Grand Cherokee and an Audi Quattro. Both of them are in shops for service!!!! The only day this year were they were needed, both none op. I'm so fed up with Audi's I'd love to send it to the crusher now that it's out of warranty
What model and year is your Audi Earl? A friend of mine had a 2003 A4, worst piece of crap he has ever owned. In the time he owned it, it spent more time at the dealer than in his possession. Constant electrical problems, I think it's just the British getting their revenge, they must have sent the ghost of Lucas to inhabit those cars!
Your absolutly right Hillar. Piece o' crap. Mine's an 02 A4 Quattro. Constant electrical, as well as mechanical problems. The Prince of Darkness (Lucas) has taken residence at Audi. No excuse for this in modern cars. They are worse than Jag's from the 80's!
If you want a bullet proof AWD vehicle, get yourself a Subaru. I'm on my fourth now, total mileage I've put on all of them collectively has to be in excess of 700,000kms. Never had any problems with any of them except once when CDN2PLS2 and I were trying to go to Florida and the crankshaft pulley broke off just outside of London. Never had a problem after that. Must have been a sign not to go to FL that year for some reason...

When I got home with our Roadmaster in 2001, I started looking it over and found some studs bolted through the floor near the brake pedal. Then I found business cards under the seat for golf courses in Florida. It took a while to figure out, but I bet it had hand controls and spent winters in Florida. I could just envision the white shoes and the senior's discount at all those cheap Florida buffets.

Just think Todd, highs into the teens for the weekend!!!
Yup, probably the last good weekend to get stuff done outside around the house. I know I have a couple of tree branches I'm going to trim to avoid any scenes like those above this winter. Rake up those last leaves, lay down the fall fertilizer, and pull out the snowblower and get it ready...

I do have a hat like that only mine is plaid. Thank goodness I am such a good sport, I won't mention charming and good looking too....but you guys are killing me
I drove the front drive Deville today into London ( a friend had it yesterday). Highbury ave. and our parking lot were like skating rinks. Gotta love those Caddie FWD's on days like these. It will be all gone tomorrow.
I'm sure you guys would be happy to hear that I took the afternoon off to work in the garage with the doors open. It was only 68F, we couldn't quite make 70 today....

I took advantage of a clear, dry sunny day to take the Laurentian out for a run, fill it with fuel and Sta-bil (why is it gas is "cheap" - when we have to put the cars away?) , and take it for a "spirited" drive before putting it away. She ran great in the cold, crisp air.
Took a cue from Todd, after a month of cheating on the Hero Car, you know driving and pinning over a certain new found love, the F word car...I decided to take the old SC GT out for a run on All Hallows' Eve. Nice night, started fine, idled fine, moved out so fine, I hope I am foregiven.
