Thanks, I knew you guys could figure it out. This is the wagon I looked at a while ago, and the guy phoned me today and said he needs money and its mine for $1500. I went over after work but he can't find the keys. It is supposedly a 327, 86,000 miles, radio delete, and has a great body. He said he was gonna call a locksmith to get some keys made, tomorro. He has the original owners manual and a folder full of paperwork for the car.

For a solid car, that sounds like a reasonable price.

Besides, you only have 2 cars listed in your signature anyway!

That is a really neat car, love the doggie dish with trim rings! I have to agree with Ghost Post on the L35 on the trim tag....that would indicate a 325 HP 396 BBC! The 275 HP 327 is an L30. The A33 is electric tailgate control. BUT Pontiac may have used different codes from Chevrolet?

My Biscayne is for sale. Almost traded it on the weekend for a 58,000 mile 61 Impala 4 door. Guy wanted $4000 for the Impala and thats what he thought my car was worth. I would look at any offers over $3000.

Will talk to him today and see if he found them. Hopefully he will find them as he said they were the original keys. Theres three things the car will need, the glovebox lock, and taillight lens, and exhaust work...If I do get it I think I'll take it straight to my buddy and get duals put on.

The 1-5-16 means first shift, month 5 (May) and day (16). We know it's a 68 so the year is a given.

I don't think the engine will be a 327. If there is no RPO for it on the cowl tag it will indicate the base V8.

Without a doubt, that says M35 powerglide,  shows up clear as a bell on my monitor.  Hope that didn't burst anyones bubble.  3-2-7 is just as cool though.  sure beats a 6cyl
