Final ride today, a good laugh!

Well, today I decided to take my Kawasaki Versys for it's last ride of the year.
My friend has a nice warm and clean garage, and she lets me keep it there for the winter since I don't have a garage.
Anyway, I'm up on highway 5 headed west, about 2 kilometers outside of Waterdown when I hit a red light. I stopped in the fast lane and out of the corner of my eye I see the front end of a blue Cobalt SS creeping forward, like it's getting ready for a holeshot, I think great, let's have at it...then I crane my neck further to the right, and if it ain't two old white haired ladies in the car, staring straight ahead.
The light turns green and we're off, she's giving it but although my 650 only has 63HP I'm no match for her. I storm up to 140KPH, shift over into the slow lane and cut it. She blasts past in the fast lane, and damm if she doesn't slow as she approaches Waterdown. I'm now down to 68 KPH, and start to laugh, because I know there is ALWAYS a speed trap on the North side of 5 just before town.
Granny motors on, showing the "biker" she's got the stuff, which she really does, but not even seeing or slowing for the giant White, red and blue HWP Ford Expedition SUV sitting right there in a vacant lot just ahead.
He storms out in a dust cloud, lights blazing after her as they both crest the hill dissapearing down into the town. Friggin' hilarious! It's used to be always the other way round.

Mark.

That's hilarious! Was she doing 50 over? Imagine if she got nailed for "racing"?

She would have been doing 100 minimum! The trap is at the spot the speed drops from 70 to 50 on a flat 4 lane secondary, we all know one. I'm laughing at the old gal for givin' the Cobalt, but at the same time I'm pissed at the HWP (Hamilton Wentworth Police). I've always though this trap to be totaly unfair. It's a notorious one that has caught many off guard.
