RE: 63-70 Full size production numbers

Thanks!  It has a dummy block in it right now.  (spare 1965 date code 396 with three frozen pistons-at least so far!) The original block is built and painted  and ready to go in.  The worst rust is in the trunk on the two body mounts, but the frame is great and the rest of the body has a few perforations but nothing structural.

I will be driving it this summer or else!

Hi Carl, given your past and your obvious passion you'll be the first to know!

I can't see it happening soon though.  I see myself  someday as a shrivelled little old man giving some punk in a jacked up hybrid  pickup the finger as he tries pathetically to pass and then stomping on it!

heh heh heh

Hi: Im New To Canadian Poncho but have been snooping on the site for awhile: I Own a 67 Pontiac Pariseanne convertable. 283 2 barrel. Someone in Kelona owns one too! I cant find him. They asked why his car never had the engine size on the front Quarter panels and the answer was they didnt have them till 68. Thats wrong because the 67 brochures show the engine size on the quarter panel on the front. My question is what is the number in the front of the production vehicles. EX 76467 67 pontiac. Thanks

Welcome aboard
Are you asking what the numbers mean on the tag riveted to the cowl? If you post all your numbers we'll decode them for you.

Carl Nice looking machine. I love the color. Do you have any problems looking for parts for her. Being a Canadian car I find parts hard to find, and the value of the car is low. Just cause it Canadian. Heres mineP9150043.JPG

Shes like another wife keeping me broke. But I love them both.

That is a beautiful car. Welcome here! You've got a lot of "car brothers" here by the look of your car.

thats the body codes given to each body style made by gm,to distinguish between models  the 7 is for gm canada (canadian pontiac ,acadian beaumont )64 is for parisienne and 67 is for convertible

if it was a hardtop it would be a 76487
or strato chief the 64 would be a 53 or 54 number as its a lower model
laurentiens are 55 or 56s
parisiennes are 63 or 64s etc

even numbers are v8s odd 6 cyls

68sd you got a great looking car. They sure are fun to drive.
The Pontiac is a Rescue Car. I rescued her from British Columbia. She has 55000 original miles original interior in excellent shape, she has been painted but has some chips to repair, having trouble matching the paint. Rear speaker works, I was told at appraisal thats rare. The wife let me buy her cause she likes the color. But Now the wife just likes to cruise.
