Another good thing about watching those old flicks, all the old cars in the back ground. I'll watch some of these old movies just to check out the scenery. Sadly pretty much all these cars are gone. Hindsight (foresight?), a lot more of them would have been saved.
Bullitt, McQueen did a lot of his own stunt driving.

My wife and I were in San Fransico in 1988 and we did a lot of touring. The highlight of our vacation there was a day trip to Alcatraz and one evening we got in a taxi and had the driver take us to the streets where Bullit was filmed. What an experience with the hills and curves of the streets of San Fransico.
There's a few episodes of Knight Rider that use stock footage of KITT travelling on a stretch of the four lane hwy that is used in the Bullitt chase. Just after getting finished coming down the snake hill and before the final two lane hwy part. I'm pretty sure that i've seen a still from the movie showing the same spot shown in the tv show. A long shot Pontiac tie in if you will
Because there is no VIN to go with the movie car. It has a big grey area for that car to be the one. I wonder what the price difference would be if it is the real movie car?
The guy needs to somehow get a NCIB report and see if the original selling dealer is the same one Warner Bros. bought the two cars from.. The existing evidence is looks possible but the dealer match would make it much more convincing..

I think the evidence he has accumulated if very compelling but it could go either way. I guess there is always skepticism with anything. At least he is coming forward now with what he thinks is the real car and is still going to build it no matter what people think. The real Bullitt Charger or not it si still a nice car. 440 4 speed Dana. I'd love to have it.
