Did you email him and let him know that he has your old car in the picture? I think I would and suggest he add a disclaimer to his ad. If he won't, then it's easy to figure the type of seller he is.

Carl, Hope you are doing well. This is a car I own. It is just an old picture. I used those pictures on my Car Domain website and on another website of my cars:
www.freewebs.com/Jerhra
I did notify eBay I thought it was a scam and emailed the seller to ask if the items for sale were from the car pictured. I wanted to get a reply before I asked him/her about the pictures. This is about as good as someone trying to sell me right hand drive parts using pictures of my 67 wagon earlier this year.
Now I understand. I thought you meant you owned it previously. That makes it even worse!
I am very tempted to email him. I don't feel it's right to make him lie about it, but it's tempting to ask him for pictures of the stuff. I am sure I recognize the Nova's Only name from Steve's. Someone posted over there about this, so maybe he will see it there, come here and read this thread.
It would seem he needs to go on his auction and make it right, that is for sure. I know I would feel deceived if I purchased it thinking it was the pieces in the pictures.
It seems strange that he is new to ebay, doesn't it? You would think being a vendor that he would have a well established account.

I received an answer back from the seller after asking him if the parts were the ones featured in the pictures. Answer;
"Not the car but all the trim is".
Asked for pictures of parts. Answer; "Definately give me a few and I will get them to you"
Only trouble, the auction is over in a day and a half.
Still have not received any information with 18 hours to go. I still think it is a scam. How could you ship all the parts involved for $142. Everything that is Acadian from front to back. Yea, sure.
