327 Engine Code

I bought a 67 Acadian out of Red Deer Alberta about two years ago. The previous owner had made a 67 Nova SS out of it. My question is the engine has this code on the passenger side front pad, MB 26800... Is this engine a 327 or a 350? Does this code show a HP rating? Thanks for info given!!

Can you find the casting number on the back of the block behind the driver's side head? That would be the best way to tell what it is. I don't recognize the MB but maybe someone will.

Shame about making an Acadian a Nova. I know another guy who did that...

Just watch those later 60's large journal motors, sometimes the casting number represent 327 or 350.  Afterall, its only the crank that is diff. on those later ones.

Yes, the MB is at the beginning... MB26800. The info I found was as 427carl found, 327-210 2bbl a/c a.i.r. from a 1967 Camaro.
I just didn't think a camaro motor would be in an Acadian? Maybe I need to check with GM Canada to see what the orginial drive train was.confused

The MB code is also 1968 Nova   307-200hp  Manual transmission. Target master 350 engines also had a M that stood for Mexico and the last 4 or 5 digits were the part number of the engine. For you to be 100% sure you will need the casting number from your block.
