Wouldn't it be nice to buy them   see in the notes ,some dude offered $350,000 for 1 of them..    They are still not as rare as a big block Strato Chief.. We have many more RARE cars, than some of these guys, have ever seen....biggrin

In the world's current economic situation or before the man would be wise to take the $350,000 and run with it-$350,000 for both sounds rich let alone one-it says 14 inch redlines-didn't Z16's have 15 inch wheels ?

I would have bet they were 15 inch, but they had these 14 inch wheel covers.. The one built for Bunky has 15 inch

Cool cars but at least one's a restamp and it's waaay too much dough when originals are available from reputable dealers such as this Nickey Chicago deal for 'only' $195,000..

I've seen them sell at Barrett Jackson for $ 185000 to $215000. I agree it seems a bit much for a one of 201 car?weirdfaceweirdface

Its all just a bunch of artificial hype ! I can offer any one of you guys a ton of money on E-Bay for your car trying to create the illusion of value and anybody here can post a car for more than its worth.

I was told by a knowledgeable appraiser in July that that the collector car market had softened considerably in the US as of last May/June, but in fact the softening probably began earlier if you look at BJ Scottsdale auction last January 08 compared to the previous January 07. I can't imagine the big prices holding up in the current economic climate. But if you had the money, I bet there could be some good deals out there in some of that muscle car inventory. Problem is that many of the potential bargain buyers are cash strapped too because of the market meltdown.

I think you are correct, on the B-J effect, on the whole car.. I dont agree on the Beaumont Acadian trim... There is so little of that trim, It is a sellers market.. Carl

There is very little nice trim that still exists. If you are lucky you may find nice trim that you can just bolt on and go.
I have lots of trim but people look at and complain because it needs re-chromed or polished. So what do you do with it? It's a shame to scrap it but you can't keep everything forever waiting for someone to give you $1.00 for it.

I believe the Z16 was the first Chevelle to get past $100k but is 83-84 ????? LS6's were under 10 then and any good BB was under 5, the fourteens is a surprise I thought 15's were one of the differences. Anyway thats why I'm here to learn/share info
