Heater core question

Just wondered if a heater core unit from an 82 Firebird would fit into an 87 Monte Carlo?

Hi Randy. Probably not. Different size heater box, but you could probably McGyver it up if necessary. Or just go get one from the wreckers.

Thanks for the info. Doubt i'll be doing anything. I saw an 87 Monte on Kijiji today for $500! Needs brakes and the heater core. Of course if i wasn't driving it in cold weather wouldn't even need to worry about it. I imagine at that price and the way it looked it's probably scooped up. It's a few hours away in Mississauga. I should probably save my money to fix up the car i have now. But it just looks like a good deal, even has a V8 with Overdrive and showing...key word showing, 66,000k on 6 digit odometer.
