New York, New York - Dec. 4, 2008 17:15 - Seeing that the Detroit Red Wings won the 2008 Stanley Cup, the Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers and Dallas Stars have formed a coalition demanding a three way ownership of the league title.
Rationale for this revolves around their total combined scoring in the 2008 semi-finals, their total share of season ticket holders versus the Red Wings and the realization that Detroit is using a more cost effective non-union made silver polish to keep Lord Stanley's mug shinny and gleaming.
The three teams are being assisted in their bid to overturn the Stanley Cup Championships by members of the Quebec Hockey league who have no interest in the NHL's success but do sense a need to demand Zambonis and other hockey equipment manufactured in Quebec for their own purposes. The Coalition is expected to submit their proposal to Don Cherry in a few days. Fans and ticket holders are neither being asked or allowed to vote in the final decision
Thats interesting! I think they should suspend, all NHL games intil January, and wait for Don Cherrys decision... using improper polish is a slap in the face, to all of us thank you for the update..

Well first off it is Toronto so the PC's have lttle hope here. I live in the north of the riding which is your regular white collar professionals and retired folks on the Don Valley and it extends right down to Lake Ontario. Jammed in the middle is the "arts" community in the Playter Estates mansions and Riverdale neighbourhood, further down it turns into working class row houses, and some nasty run down districts. The Bare naked Ladies live here and we all know they love Jack. It was a Liberal strong hold for many years until Layton ran two elections ago. It is frustrating for me living in this political island called Toronto.
