i have a friend that deals in older cars and he said he has 2 early monte carlos coming from abbotsfords bc in the new year. i asked about the shipping rate and he said around $475 each, vancouver to toronto. that is cheap in my books. i know some guys have been asking about shipping cross canada, so here might be an option
Steve, I just checked with Searail on shipping a car from Vancouver to Detroit and they quoted $1276 USD. That would be over 1500 CDN. Can you ask your friend how I can get his discount?

Steve let me know his contacts also. I may be shipping a car to my daughter in Vancouver if it's that cheap.

That sounds like an amazing deal. At that rate, I will be making an inquiry of my own.

he wasn't there. but i did ask his partner and this summer he paid 675 vancouver to toronto. i'll see if he is there tomorrow. i have to make a software disk for him and when i drop it off. i'll check then. he did say vancouver to montreal was 900. norm if its any cheaper you can always ship it to my place and pick it up at a later date. i know not a chance because i'll strip it for parts for my 63 beaumont. always a option thou.
Sounds real cheap I though $1200 from Oregon (running car) was good "by Rail" photo enclosed.

now the 58 rail car is kool, used to be a day where everyone didnt want a station wagon, now everyone wants one, so it seems, cant throw away all the 4dr cars, wont be any examples left, wouldnt throw or hack lets say a 1910s 4dr Cadillac would ya., big block, headers, any tire over 2inches wide would be a slick, lol
I am going to inquire here from our salesman to see if they use rail when they buy lease cars from out of province. If rail is cheaper, it opens up some possibilities.

Here is a old 2 door going to trade it for a 4 door
And whats wrong with 4 doors . I f you look at this pic from what I can see its all eyes on the 4 door not the 2 doors. And if I do say so myself that is one sweet 4door
i did talk to my friend saturday (the car dealer). and he said the deal was on the other end. i told him that i had a friend trying to ship cross country and he said he would ask the guy who is shipping the cars but it wouldn't be till the new year. he also said that it sounded like the other guy was getting a special deal because it usually closer to 700 each.
