64 Sd Beaumont rag for sale on ebay

The Americans are liquidating. I don't have a link but it's there. Looks nice but I am not sure if the seats are a correct pattern?

Nice color combo. Right the seats are chevelle and the back bumper is too. I think the rocker moulding might also be ss but it is good to see another one is still alive and looking good.

I don't mean to nit-pick, but for that money i would want to see a correct interior(that one is the run-of-the-mill PUI 64 SS stuff).  Also has the wrong V8 emblems, teh wrong rear bumper, park lenses don't look right either.  I also think it is too yellow for a correct goldwood yellow.  It also has the chevelle hood trim.  hood release should be body color too.
And those hupcaps, puke, i would rather see plain steel rims.  those are not even period correct as poorly stated by the seller.

Still, one rare SD rag, correct in the 128 produced.

Some underhood shots would be nice to see.

It looks like a good car, just odd, because the things that are wrong would be so easy to change and cheap to do.

Makes a guy wonder why the seller would not make the corrections to add about double to the value.

He probably just doesn't know any better.

Good observation on the modifications. You would think if he was restoring one that he would google a picture to get the trim right.

I never zoomed into the picture to see the details but this guy probably was as carefull with the metal replacement as he was with the trim. He would of been better to post resto photos to prove that the car is solid. Is there replacement seat skins and panels for a 64 beaumont interior that are available in the aftermarket?

No mass produced 64 beaumont stuff.  The SD is a bit easier as it uses chevelle SS seat skin pattern, but the back rests are totally different with lots of heat pressing.

SMS auto fabrics has all the correct materials and can reproduce anything for a price.  Would be worth the "one-off" price for this car if done right.

dont mean to nit pik either, i did offer ya a while back, the correct stuff for your 194 to make it correct, like the dist. cap should be a bakelite brown like the starter solinoid, fuel line clamps white, fuel filter steel, rad overflow clamp, indian red couple other little things......but no reply, not even an acknoladgement, but you probably knew these things allready im guessing, and I wasnt being critical to your car

Are you talking about the back of the bucket seats being different

because I'm not sure what you mean by back rests. I think the top of the back rests are different on the front? What do guys with 64 Sd cars usually use for seat covers? Not a show car but a driver?

You are correct, i meant the front faces
They have a ribbed heatpressed pattern.  This is not a very good pic but it  should have a pattern like this.

Thanks for the photo. So the guy you listed can reproduce the detail on the rear top? The bottom of the bucket that you sit on is 64 chevelle but the rear top back rest is 64 Beaumont?

As far as i can tell.
SMS is good, they have a website just google SMS autofabrics.

They even have all the NOS cloth inserts for the beaumont custom models.

I know that they specialize in reproducing heatpressed door panels for odd makes and models.

What i like about them is that they actually know what a candian pontiac or beaumont even is!!!biggrin

220 HP 283 is all that was avail until march? 64.  327s came out then on the chevelles, i assume the same for beaumonts.  No expert on those mid year 327s though, maybe someone else knows.

Funny, most people completely overlook 64s,  i like them the best.
Would still love to find a 64 beaumont wagon one of these days.

That is a good question that should be a new topic. Don't let me forget to post it. Mid year 327 64 Beaumonts?
