I have a XTRA HOOD for my 66 Pontiac... I bought a "SD" steel scoop, and opened shipping box, the other day, and the scoop is rusty (was supposed to be mint) I had just peeked at it, the day it arrived last year.. AND, I have a bubble tear drop scoop, to mould on, and I must admit, I dont want to spend the money ,to finish it, and have someone (SERIOUSLY)"bad mouth" it, because they were predominately seen on Fords.. My dead friends 66 Pontiac, that I had cherished, had one on it... So I was wondering about having my friend, cut the centre of a cowl hood and weld, and finish it off for me... Here is photo of Will's car in 67.. What do you think? no . really. lol
I love the shot of that white car at the dragstrip.
If the two "Super Stars" like it, who else matters....forget the cowl hood... WE are going the bubble, on the extra hood..... thanks C2
I had a 63 Ford Custom 500 2 dr post that that had the "teardrop'" bubble added on it. They were quite popular on the east coast back in the day. Wasn't it originally a Ford item?
yes It was seen on more Fords and became (sort of ) standard equipment on 64 T bolts.. but it was used on other brands ... I liked it on the big Pontiac... looked kinda "racy" during the week, on the streets of Sackville N.B. Of course, having it on a extra hood, allows me to discard it, if I hear (real) flack
anything with the cowl part a truck one would do I want to cut off the steel cowl part.....
Hey Carl, who's nice red Chev. is this ... your GMC is nice enough, but ...
