Pic of My cursed firebird. and not so cursed Beaumont

This is my 67 Firebird sprint 3.8 L overhead cam six car I owned
back around 1981. shortly after these pics were tacken I took the
front fenders off to get some body work done. I leaned them up against
the neighbors shed. That night his shed burnt and fenders were toast.

Brother in laws Ventura in background.

Pic above with new vynal roof. I bought new fenders from GM and
was also building  a 396. Yes a chevy in a pontiac. All my parts were
in my parents garage out in Oakbank with the rest of all my tools
and extra parts. My Stepfather started a grass fire and burned down
the barn my 66 pontiac and the garage with all my parts and yes new
fenders. The body was still here and not there so survived. I took it
out to Oakbank and left it at my parents farm for about 10 years.
Then in the 90's I desided to bring it to my house and start again.
My freind and I with tow rope went to get it and it was gone. Some one
the day before had taken it. Never found it.

I think you made a good choice by going with a Beaumont. Pictures would be good and a happy story would help too. That last one bummed me out.cry

I have already showed pics of frame in progress, but here is the body
with frame stored under it for winter.

PICT0853.JPG

This is not the correct shade of paint, Notice the yellow bumper on saw
horse, thats for wife when parking, she always opens the door on that
and bangs up here car. Grand kids wrote Fix me on window ,Har, Har.

PICT0855.JPG

A little cancer to deal with on quarters

PICT0463.jpg

This already posted. This summer hope to finish rear end and plumb
brake lines ,fuel lines, back brakes, and who knows maybe a motor,
got my buddy looking for a good 350 block, I have a 400 small block
but my son wants it for his 67 camaro we are restoring. Was thinking
about my 400 pontiac block I have, but I think I want to keep it  all
Canadian. You can just see the 400  Pontiac motor mounts on the frame
I already had the Pontiac mounted, fits OK, but don't no, just not
Canadian.

The body has been on those saw horses for  about  seven  years . Everthing is bolted together not nailed. Before I had them my boy had
a 80's blazer on them. I had to turn one of the legs around so I could get
the frame underneath. Car is full of parts including trunk. Wife has hit it a few times. still standing.

Looking good Fred, She's a twin to mine, Thats the colour mine should be or close to it, former owner painted with what ever he had in his garage and is a darker shade. What you got for engine 307 or 350 ?

Nothing wrong with a 307,  Its a stroked 283 with a 327 crank. I'd rather have a 307 than the newer 305 block anyday.

That's a nice garage you got there Fred and if you decide to change that cam in the 307 you might want to think about taking that to barrel carb and intake and throw it in the lake! LOL
