68 Strato Chief Clinton Ont

Carl, why didn't you tell us about this one?biggrin From London Kijiji. I can't get the link to work. Here's the scoop:

This is a 1968 Pontiac Strato Chief, 4d, in good shape. Currently undergoing a body job, and needs both rocker panels re-placed, I have both rocker panels sitting in it at the moment, ready to be put on. The body of this car is in very good shape, little to no rust on it. The engine is in perfect shape. It is a little 250 straight 6 cylinder. The interior is in good shape, and the chrome for the car couldn't look any better. Lost interest in project.

biggrinAfter all those cop cars in the Vintage Photo thread, it might make a good "black & white".

Push bumpers; black rally wheels and blackwalls; night-reflective tape; 427 transplant. wink

I've been looking for a 68 Biscayne sedan to clone as a big block cop car (have everything to do it except the car itself, & no luck so far), but a 68 Strato Chief would be equally nice and I've got parts for it.  This one looks nice, but it's too far away - shipping would be almost as much as the car.

Carl did you really get lucky enough to find and buy a 427-390hp ? That engine with this 4 dr sedan would really make a super nice sleeper. It would be a fantastic highway ride.

One of the '68 sedans for in that Uxbridge load of Fawcett's ex movie cars didn't look too bad...not sure if they're still there or not?.  The '66 there had a 12-Bolt  and I think one of the '68's did too but I forget if it was the solid one or not?.   Who else here was it that looked at them and noticed the 12-Bolt in the '66 too?.

I missed the cop car action in the pictures thread but will try and get a couple digi-shots of my RCMP Biscayne 396 2-Dr. Post car together..

I've been keeing quiet on this one but I can't do it so did anyone else see this ad for the RCMP 64 2-Dr. Post car?.   There was a picture before but not now?.
It'd sure be a great one to do a W-Motor swap to!.

I looked at the 68 Chevs at the Fawcett auction. None of them was great.
