Cant really answer that, but just a side note about Laquer. It does not sand worth a crap, it gums up the paper and just ends up being a big mess.
For small areas, a rag soaked in laquer thinner left on the paint will soften it enough to scrap it off. But i wouldnt recomend this for large areas as it is time consuming.

I've done some laquer work on a 29 Hudson some time back. Laquer never really completely dries. Thats why its so prone to cracking. If your going to strip a complete panel or the whole car Id say soda. Because you can blast with the trim and all on and soda will not hit those parts even the rubber. It just takes the paint off. But thats just me giving an opinion. Some guys prefer chemical strip, but I find that its not that cheap to do that. So Id say do your research on it and see how you wish to do your project. Are you taking all parts off, are they allready off. If so maybe chemical is for you. If not then take a good look at Soda.
my old boss does soda blasting so i asked him what he charges and he told me he charges 1100.00 but would only charge me 800.00. he said it takes 8 bags of soda at 65.00 per bag. man i think thats still really pricey compaired to buying a few pails of stripper, i havent found any one else that does soda blasting. i was looking into eastwoods soda blaster but i can't seem to find any one who sells soda.
It was a long time ago that i stripped my entire car, but i used the aircraft stripper (i was 14 and didnt read the warning labels!) and a paint scraper...but from what i remember it was a lot of work! and it takes a lot of time and elbow grease, it was washed really good, sanded, and painted with something called 'vinyl wash' if my memory serves me correct, ... i guess it really depends how far apart you are taking the car?
if it just a bare shell than soda blasting seems to be the answer, but if its all together you might be better stripping a panel at a time with stripper and sanding off any leftovers with a DA sander... i have heard of people being able to strip a whole car with a razor blade, pretty impressive...i'd try that, or 3m clean and strip discs but as beaumontguru suggest these might gum quick...
