I had a friend who worked for Steve Stavro and I wanted to go to the last game but that was a non starter but what he did get me was my second choice, the last game against the Habs, December 26, 1998. That was an incredible night, the Rocket was there to drop the puck, they played the Hockey Sweater on the scoreclock at intermission. I'll never forget it. As usual the Leafs lost 2-1!

Well not exactly, Habs got owned Saturday night by the Buds!!!!! biggrin

Keep the frame and put the car pic in it for sure!! (im not a hockey guy, sorry!) What is funny about that pic is that it was my wife who was the one who designed that style of matting for the sports stuff when she worked for a company in Toronto....too bad she dident get a cut of that!! oh well. We were both custom picture framers before we met...funny world isnt it!

Sorry Habs fans, you are not even going to make the play-offs this year! After all that 100 year hype that quite frankly I think went a bit over board, I guess the players figured all they had to do was step on the ice and everyone else would just bow out of the way! Well that certainly wasn't the case Sat. night was it? For a team fighting for it's play-off life, the Habs seemed totally listless and disinterested and got pushed around by a Leaf team that is clearly in full bore rebuilding mode that nobody expects anything from this year. What does that make Gainey's record since he took over, 1-5? And the victory his first night back they really pulled a rabbit out of the hat winning in over time. I think the Leafs should set their sights on passing Montreal in the standings. biggrin

Gillette is selling the Habs and maybe Richard Petty Enterprises and Man U too. Word in the Toronto press is that Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment is looking to buy the Canadiens. How's that going to sit with Montreal fans, what a laugh !
