Guess what, I have a nicely done sbc to go in my 80 GP this spring but last night after searching for a year I finally found a 455 Pontiac engine, going out today to look at it, not in donor car, what should I be looking for? I hope this engine is good, will this engine bolt up to my stock tranny? Are there any other issues to contend with?

I think the 455 will 'bolt"in with the right mounts   there are a lot of 455 experts on this site  hang on!

Thanks, Carl I also got to price up a decent rebuild for this BBP, guess there's a need to check for block cracks etc.
