It sure is a nice looking Drag Car recreation and the 409 is period correct, consistent with what someone would have done to hot rod the 62.

Just to clear up this whole dipstick identification thing. First of all never assume its a 348 just because the dipstick is on the drivers side-or vise versa for the 409. The oil pan could have been changed. ALL and I mean ALL 348 TRUCK engines had the dipstick on the PASSENGER SIDE and basically used a 409 truck pan. So ONLY go by casting numbers. They are the most reliable way to ID a W engine, unless the car is totally original, and even then you never know.

I believe this car used to be red & white and used to be owned by Roger, who is a member here. If I'm right it is a western car that Aubrey Bruneau converted to a 409 in 2001 for a buyer in New York; it was originally a 261 6 cylinder. You can look at it on the Bruneau performance site, under past projects link.
http://www.bruneauperformance.ca/intro.html

The New York buyer kept it for a few years and apparently poured a pile more money into it. He offered it on e-bay about 2 years ago, and I assume the current seller acquired it from him.  I don't remember the asking price at the time but it was not inexpensive.

It's a beautifully done conversion with many upgrades. One of the nicest 62 Parisienne's around I would think.
