WandaLeeAnn

I spent a long time the other night drooling over your pictures in the ad. Your car is exactly what I have been wanting. It's just such poor timing for me right now or you would have had a call from me a long time ago. I just don't see how I can do it. It's even the right colour right down to the vinyl top and everything...

I am guessing this is likely the car I looked at for sale in the Gateway Road area in Winnipeg about 20-25 years ago. Same colours, same options etc.

For those wondering, the phone number should have area code 204 and the car is in Winnipeg.

Haha, both options are tempting but I'm afraid I have to face reality on this one.

The thing I like most about this car is the interior. It's identical to the interior on the 427 automatic car I had years ago. I like those front seats with the fold down armrest even more than buckets.

The Grande Parisienne is Canadian made and in many ways is similar to the US Grand Prix. Grande Parisienne continued from 1966 to 1969 when it was replaced in 1970 by the US imported Grand Prix, by this point the Personal Luxury car based on the A Body.

The lastyear for a US Grand Prix based on the B body was 1968, many argue the least desireable of all.

Sheet metal on the 66 is very similar if not identical in appearance between the US and Canada but underneath has nothing shared at all.

I imagine doors, quarters, glass etc all interchanges. I think I have heard that front fenders don't fit though.

I've started a reference thread in the 65-70 full size topic area, Grande Parisienne vs. Grand Prix. I closed it because it can serve as good reference but that doesn't mean we don't want information. Send me a PM with suggestions and I will update. Closing it just keeps it tidy.

Look inside the engine compartment at the wall between the engine and passenger section.  There wil be a tag with the Numbers (Codes) on it. That is the cowl tag.

Okay will do. Thanks.

Boy I have to admit I'm tempted myself.  The price seems fair but I know if I succumbed not only would I be sleeping in the doghouse but I'd never finish mine!

Son of a gun it sure is cute!
