Headed to Thornhill tonight. Pulled the LeMans out of the garage, needed to boost it, Cleaned all the dust and dirt off of it and met 65 Camino and headed up to the Thornhill Cruisers Victoria Day opening. Live Band and my buddies Johnny, Joey and Sam the Elvis tribute artists were there. Johnny drove his powder blue 65 Mustang Fastback. We met 67 beaumont there and chatted with Glenn for a while and we saw Muttly's 68 502 Beaumont but did not see Ken. Sorry I did not get a photo of the 68. Only took photo's of ponchos, there were 200+ cars there tonight.

hey ray, where/when do they hold the thornhill cruise? keep thinking about making the journey one of these nights.
They have it every Monday night from Victoria Day to Labour Day At the Bayview Glenn Church, north side of Steeles just east of Bayview, not that far for you.
It is one of the better organized cruises, the Church handles the food concessions and it is hot dogs, burgers, sauages, ice cream, chips soft drinks. It is also a crusie nationals judging location, peoples choice awards each time, Sponsors Choice as well, both those cars come back in a featured spot the next week. Often a live band as well.

August 17th will be a Birthday Party for Gord Hazlett, well known Old Auto's contributor and author. Gord is a nieghbour of 65 Camino and mine. Gord's eyesight is such that he has given up his 1927 Pontiac to his son but he still gets out and enjoys talking with everyone.

Thnaks for the "Sprint" photos very rare cloth sunroof car Can't be a real Canadian Poncho with 350 lol (350 was blue block) I would like to put stripes on my car, but it has side mouldings.... nice car though Carl

The Sprint was for you Carl. Now for the strange story on this one. Owner is second owner but he says he has owned the car from about 1974. When you pop the hood it isn't a 350 blue block it is a 307 Chevy ! GM Canada documentation says 307 as well which he has. He says the 350 fender flashes were always on it as long as he has had it. Super nice little car with the extremely rare roll back sunroof as you say.
I love the story!!!! It is a real Canadian Poncho! (Pontiac with factory Chevy Motor) What I really like is the emblem story! reminds me of my friends 396 Pontiac Strato Chief, that rolled into Sackville in 1966 with 396 emblems on it! wow
