Looks great!!! Love the shiny black undercarriage (I'm not quite as brave, I'm going with semi-gloss) and the metallic blue paint. It'll be a knockout!
What paint (doesn't look like an original color - not that I think it should be, I think big cars like ours can handle bold metallic colors well and mine won't be stock either)?

The paint is a 99 to 05 Dodge Blue metalic effect. The firewall is single stage and the rest will be base coat clear coat. Dupont PB3 from memory. The tranny mount is made from aluminum chevy Z71 box rails with a little help from a metal break for the center mount. Chev 350 .030 over, crane cam , 462 64cc heads.........the idea is to make it look like a 60's Vette engine, valve covers........heads etc. I'm favbbing up a dual snorkel air cleaner for it from a couple of single snorkel ones. I'll post pic's if it turns out.
Yes, if you look closely at the picture they are on the engine now. They are painted engine colour but I will be sanding off the top of the ribs soon.
I couldn't see, other than being painted that great metallic blue - they will look excellent with the ribs taken down to shiny raw aluminum and polished!!!!!

I had originally sandblasted and painted a 57 frame for this car(56) but decided against using it. I pulled the engine and tranny(all the glass) out of the 56 along with the doors front clip and all. I lifted it up very carefully with a forklift and set it on steel pipe racks. Sandblasted the complete underside and the firewall. Keep in mind no floor work was needed as the car is extremely solid, the trunk was also blasted(brush blasted) inner wheel wells, just about everything. The two braces under the seats are bad along with the drivers rear brace, once they were blasted they started to come apart. I'll post some more pic's soon. I was just out making a dual snorkle air cleaner out of two 1970 four barrel air cleaners, the air cleaner will have the snorkles at the 4 and 8 o'clock position, hope it turns out. Its getting close to paint time........then six weeks of putting the 400 lbs of stainless back on the car(LOL) !!!!! Cheers........Lennox.
Here's a couple more shots. Homemade dual snorkle air cleaner. The engine has the proper 462 casting heads on it now, corvette valve covers with fin's highlighted.
