They wouldn't be trying to pull my leg, would they?

Plenty of Suzuki commercials on TV these days, celebrating their 100th Anniversary specials. Yipee....100 years.

So, my ol' brain got to thinking, "Wow. Suzuki has been making cars two years longer than Chevrolet has???".

Then, I remembered, "Google is my friend". wink

Actually, for their first 50 years, Suzuki manufactured silk looms. They eventually got into manufacturing motorcycles after WWII. Cars came much, much later.

The Bee Gees said it best...................."Jive Talkin". evileye

Should I voice my opinion again or keep quiet so I don't upset anyone? :)

"By 1937 Suzuki had begun production of a variety of war-related materials, which may have included vehicle parts, gun assemblies, and armor. For its part in Japan's World War II effort, Suzuki, like thousands of other companies, was requisitioned for war production and became manufacturer of military implements."

Oh ya they were on the other side, right.

From pop cans to crap cans, who cares? Now if we could recycle Suzuki's into Firebird's, we might have something.smile
