1962 Canadian Chevy Nova Convertible - For sale Reply Quote

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a 62 Chevy Nova 400 convertible built in Oshawa and sold new in Alberta. I have GM Canada documentation and the car is one of 1451 built in Canada. It also has a power top from the factory and that option was not available from the factory on U.S. built Nova convertibles in 62.
This car is a complete original car with one repaint, years ago. The car is driveable, the drivetrain was replaced by the previous owner who owned the car for 21 yrs until I bought it about 8 years ago.
The only part of the car that is not original is the 350 V-8 and 350 turbo trans. Car has factory bucket seats with a column shift. Exterior is twilight turqoise and interior is aqua. Convertible top is white. The car is a driver and could stand to have most everything updated. It comes with an aqua factory boot for the top.
When I bought this car, I drove it from British Columbia to Reno and then to Michigan. Eveerything works on the car and it got about 16 mpg when I drove it across the U.S.
The power top has stopped working and will need to be repaired. Windshield is cracked. The car has always been stored inside and needs minor rust repair.
The car is stored in Michigan and I'm currently in Florida. I will be returning to Michigan in mid-april.
Delivery of the car is available in my enclosed trailer for a very reasonable fee.
I want $12,000 USD for the car.
Please email me for additional information and pictures. Halletts1@chartermi.net

Thanks, I couldn't help myself.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion but sometimes you cross a line and I can't help but be the guy guarding the line.

I do appreciate your support, it is not easy giving up the things you are passionate about but life goes on and the bills still need to be paid.

Hi, Norm I have to add a x2 to your response, when i read the comment i laughed, then laughed harder at your response!! that guy is really out to lunch! your car is very nice!

Josh, good luck with your search! Hope your friend finds something before he loses interest, but be patient and he really shouldnt be afraid to look stateside, thats where alot of the deals and rustfree cars would be located...

Someone said there were a ton of them out there for sale....for $10 less!!
Where are they???.......I don't see too many 62-65 Original Body, Survivor type, Unrestored Novas anywhere!
Going to the U.S. is always an option........but real pain and hassle!
Must be something exceptional up here for sale.
Thanks for leads!

Thank you,  I much prefer making light of a situation rather than getting into a pis*ing match over the Internet.  Comments like yours are the true payoff for me.  Just knowing someone else agrees with me and finds humor in what I say.  thanks again,  Norm

I'm glad someone else said it first, I didn't want to be the one to point out the obivious, because I have two 62-63 cars for sale and the buyer is not interested in either one of them.
Last week, while my Acadian was on eBay, I had a potential buyer ask if my car could be imported back into Canada and if so how could he get it to AB.
I said sure, the paperwork is not a big deal and if the auction reaches reserve, I will bring the car to you in my enclosed car trailer.
Processing paperwork and scheduling shipping is only a big deal the first time.  Once you know how it works, it's a piece of cake.
