Automotive Traveler cites confidential sources inside GM as saying that GMs Caprice (neé Pontiac G8) will be built in Oshawa, Canada. According to ATs sources, the Impalas age is hurting it in police fleet sales. The Caprice would presumably fix that and potentially squeeze a few more sales out of the Zeta platform...
thats good -I like them, maybe if I get a job it could fit into the catagory "first new car" or if they start in 2011 I should be able to get a nice used OPP cruiser in 2014 or so
Funny, Hillar stopped by tonight and we were talking about the G8 becoming a Chevrolet and wondering what they would call it. The car is too good not to be built.

This was announced a couple of days ago in cojunction with Maximum Bob returning to GM to head up marketing and advertising as well as global vehicle design. Thank God there is at least one car guy left in the ranks of upper management at GM. I think even Obama would be afraid to fire a 77 year old who flies his own fighter jet.
