I'm searching for an ignition switch for my 1966 Pontiac Beaumont. Any one have any ideas where to find it? Having a hard time finding what I need online. My ignition switch does NOT match the Tempest, GTO or Chevelle models.

If you want to see my ignition switch take a look here:

and

Thanks for all and any suggestions.

Have you tried a different year.

I would suggest looking at a switch for a 1964 or 1965 chevelle or GTO.

A lot of times beaumonts used last years configurations.

Sorry i cant be of more help.

I've looked for every possible year to compare and none match the 1966 Beaumont ignition switch.  It's so strange that this one year/model has it's own unique ignition switch.

Thanks for your suggestion.

I'm open to more suggestions or parts suppliers that may carry beaumont parts.

Hi Rick,

I just went through this and bought one for a 1966 GTO and got the right one.  I think I got one from Hot Rod Corner in Surrey, BC.  604-576-0518.

I've just been talking to a guy the last couple days and am trying to make a deal on a 66 parts car that has a couple things that I'd like so will have some parts available if it all comes together.

If all else fails, I have a buddy who probably has one but we probably won't be touching base for a couple of weeks. Therefore let me know if you run out of luck...

These Musclecaruniverse guys seem to have a good line on Beaumont stuff.  I think their prices are quite in line.  I bought some 64 SD trim from them a little while ago and was very pleased with what I got for the price they were asking.  They sell a whack of stuff.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the replies.

I still haven't found the ignition switch.

Someone told me that the 66 Tempest ignition switch is the best and closest match to my 66 beaumont switch.

He gave me a part number of 1116676 Delco switch which was used in 66 & 67 Tempest - so now I'm searching for this part.

If any body can help, let me know - thanks!

Rick
