Wrecking yard help?

I have a young friend who picked up a solid 71 Chrysler New Yorker 2 door hardtop, and when he shut the door one day, the door glass shattered. If anyone knows where a drivers side 2 door glass can be found, he would be grateful.

I've got a call into a fella I know who can check inventory at Pilkington Glass USA (PPG) as it's sometimes surprising what they still have available..
A couple years back I used the same connection to hook a lad up w/ a new rear 1/4 side glass for his '69 L72 Biscayne Post car (the same Biscayne Barry '68Post' here bought) and it was in stock at Pilkington!.

Also before searching for used we need to see what other models glass fit this application...possibly 2 Dr. Furys etc?.
I have a 64-74 Hollander book at home...doesn't someone else here have one and is it in front of them?.

Buddy checked in w/ me and both the tinted and clear Driver's side Coupe Door glass is listed as available from Pilkington Glass..
Cost would be approximately $300 Cdn. shipped to a glass shop in most Canadian towns..
If you can't find a used one and you want to order the new one checking the etched #'s on the pass. side glass may be a good thing to confirm first?.

On the used glass, I haven't had a chance to check what other applications fit but I'll try and do so over the next few days unless someone else here can first..

Good luck!

Hey thanks guys! He's 21 and interested in the older cars, and I'd like to encourage him on that front if I can.
