Hey Fred,

See you posted the 64 Beaumont specifications good.   This will give everyone and idea of what was available in the way of options to be ordered back then.

Pay attention to the prices, while by today's standards they seem really low you have to remember what people were making an hour in pay back then.

$50 dollars for posi-traction could be a real deal breaker
$25 dollars for tinted glass might be a few days worth of pay.

Take the basic price of any 64 Beaumont and start adding on the options.  Also remember these prices would more than likely be for southern Ontario around the Oshawa area.   All other places you'd have to add on delivery charges to the local dealer.

How about a couple of the more "seasoned" posters on this site give us an insight in what it was like to walk into a dealership back?  Filling out an order form for the car of your dreams and waitng for the factory to build and ship that time machine.

This stuff is Gold! Where do you find this stuff? It is the sort of thing that only the salesman got, then threw away at the end of the model year.

Notice that there is no a/c offered, nor a tilt wheel. It wouldn't show up in Canadian Chevelles or Beaumonts until 1968 (factory AM/FM radios waited until then on Canadian Chevelles & Beaumonts too!)

For some reason,  I just found this posting now.
How could i have possibly overlooked this awesome info!!!

Fred, is there any way to make it a bit bigger/clearer?  It is really hard to make out the finer printing.
Or could you send it in an email? perhaps it would be clearer.

The 327s did not debut in chevelles until march of 64, thats why they are not in the lit.

But, did the same apply for beaumonts? any one have a post-march built 64 beaumont with a documented 327?

Appears to be from the 64 dealers book. I have a photocopy of it.

I also have an original '65 Pontiac Acadian Buick Sales Fact Book

Any chance you could share those with us.
The 65 one sounds interesting too.

I have the "fingertip facts" stuff for 64 chevelles, but nothing on beaumonts/acadians
