I think there is a thread on this forum somewhere too, from quite a while back.

That car is amazing. I shudder to think about ever using it to actually drive!!!

After all these years knowing this Laurentian this is the first time I'm actually reading that it was not an original 427. I was always led to believe it was a factory 427. I was told by someone who knows how much was spent on the restoration. Let's put it this way, buy a house or restore a car confuse Of course the whole family angle would make a nice feature in Astro News Flash.

I had it in my head I had read somewhere it was a small block car and not a 2+2 but I could be wrong. Time to dig up that thread with the restoration on it. I remember seeing some incredible detail in those pictures.

Yes, it was a his Dad's Laurentian bought new in 69 and the brother has written a 350 2bbl. As a Laurentian it was all over the web for years with the 427 but as I said this is the first time I see it was not a factory big block car.

It is a wicked car in every repect. Perfectly done with no expense spared.

But heh, if "money were no object", I'm sure a lot more of us would do the same thing to a family heirloom or first car...make it the ultimate expression of what we'd always dreamed it could be. But at the same time, Isn't the original appeal and "family"patina kind of lost when everything but the frame, some trim and bodyshell is replaced? Maybe not? I guess I'll never know.

If you had unlimited resources, would you do a dream CP?
