Nice car but I don't know if I would touch it, it's got the mark of Satan on it with that licence plate!

I have never seen one of these in real life; closest was a 75 455 Parisienne 2 dr I had 20 yrs ago; essentially the same body but the interior was not as nice.

Oh, I just noticed-there's a taillight out. DEAL'S OFF!

I never gave these cars a second glance in the past but now I find them quite nice-especially this one. It's only about 30 minutes from me......

I would expect it to be a 455, but I think you could get a 400 - I've seen 75 Grand Ville convts with both 400s and 455s.

Do you remember me mentioning a Parisienne 455 2 door back in the summer?

This one is close to a twin.

As I said my dream car. The 400 2bbl was standard with 400 4bbl and 455 optional. There are a number of differences to differentiate the Bonneville from the Parisienne. The roofline on the Bonneville is completely different, the tail lamps are completely different and the grille a bit more flash too. Rear Quarters completely different as well that facilitate a different style wheel opening.

The photo below shows the roofline on a Parisienne. It has a rearward slopping B pillar where the Bonneville is straight, the Parisienne has a narrow rear window behind the drivers window and the Bonneville has none behind the drivers window. This small gap is visible in the photo below. The tail lights are more ornate on the  Bonneveille.

I hope the differences are obvious with the Bonneville posted below.

Yes, i think the the Parisienne did have small roll down rear side windows. I can't see the second pic so I'm trying to remember now, but you are right, rear glass is different.

The thing keeping me away from that car is Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia as pointed out by Hillar. Pretty hard to get past that.

Hillar has it right. I don't even like looking at the number, won't say it or write it, no way no

Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia (literally, "fear of [the number] six hundred sixty-six") is the fear that originated from the Biblical verse Revelation 13:18 which indicates that the number 666 is the Number of the Beast, linked to Satan or the Anti-Christ.[1] Outside the Christian faith, the phobia has been further popularized as a motif in various horror films. Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobes will strongly avoid things related to the number 666. A prominent example is of Nancy and Ronald Reagan who, in 1989, when moving to their home in the Bel-Air section of Los Angeles, had the address of 666 St. Cloud Road changed to 668 St. Cloud Road.[2]

The plate won't follow the car. Get a nice little cross, put it on the dash and all will be well.
