WTB : Reliable Student Car

Hi all,

I am starting the search for a reliable, affordable 3rd car for my teenagers to drive to school and part-time jobs.

I have seen these types of cars come up on this website before, but there doesn't seem to be any at the moment.

Anybody out there, in Southern Ontario, thinking about selling such a car ?

Details, please.

Scott (LandShark ....)

I got my kids a 1994 Buick Regal but the I switched them to a 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood, one owner car, big, safe, relaible, looks awesome, lots of room for friends. Not for everybody but I paid $1,700 over a year ago and have never lifted thr hood or turned a bolt.

This is my wife's car-I bought it last year for our 10th anniversary-she likes it but I bought an estate sale 98 Deville and she says she'd rather have it, anyway 1999 Ford Mustang, 3.8 liter V-6, automatic, nicely optioned with power seat/windows/locks/trunk/mirrors, Am/Fm CD/cassette, just 143,000 kilometers-nice ladies car will certify and e-test at $5950 (905) 714-1403 Welland

Thanks Carl,

NICE CAR !!

Unfortunately, that's quite a bit out of my price range.
I was looking for something less than $3000, preferably.
I do wish you luck though on selling the Mustang. It is a beauty.

Regards,

Scott

Thanks Mark,

I used to have an even older Probe (87, I think) and it was a really good little car.
I enjoy a stick shift car, but I know my teenage daughters and wife would really struggle with it. I think I'd like to stay with an automatic, if possible.

Regards,

Scott (LandShark...)

I'll go have a look at my buddy's place tomorrow. He usually has a few mid size GM's around the $3'g price, around the 99-02 model year.
