I'll go out on a limb and say, no. Dealer installed maybe, but not factory.

Anyone got a saw? wink

I would second Bob's opinion, on both counts!

I have many of the US factory option brochures and I don't ever recall seeing fog lamps in any of them.

You'd have to admit that it is a strange coincidence that two similar Pontiacs
have the same fog lamp set up, one car is the original owner car, the gold 65 that was at Auto Fest.

And one owner drilled holes in the bumper, while the other drilled holes in the grill. wink

The 66 looks like a decent car. Seems to have accessories and modifications that would have been period correct - like the fog lights, mud flaps, etc. If it's in good shape, no rust, it would be an interesting and somewahat rare car I would think.

My Dad had those exact fog lights on our 1970 Chev Impala-I can't remember where he bought them or if he took them from the 66 Malibu-but they weren't factory.

Nice car!

I disagree with his factory tach statement though. Not down on the console in 66. It should be upper left corner of the dash.

WOW! your good!

my email reply

Hi Fred
Yes it is all there . I believe I may have a photo of it also. The car is as it came from the factory except for the water pump and heater hoses. The only part ever changed = except battery and tires of course. They used the tag to prepare the original Lacquer paint colour match to repaint one door and fender due to someone walking down one side scratching it with a key or other sharp object. Usual vandalism likely by some kid.
As the ad says, I bought it new so still have the original paper invoice. BAck then, you ordered it and it arrived 2 months later.
Also have both the shop repair manuals. Also I believe there is a set of spare wheels (4) for it and the original spare tire is still in the trunk. Vehicle is in storage now but can be accessed for viewing.
It is covered by Langt Silver Wheel Insurance and plated "Historical" accordingly.
Does this help out? Let me know a day ahead if you wish to see it. Call preferred as I am not always quick to check the emails.
Any further info please ask
Byron

They look like the corner signals that are usually on "top" of the fenders. Dodge used them for quite a few years as well as some GM, Caddy's mostly.  I think these are the aftermarket one you could buy ...not positive.
