I like the fact that the engine has all the stock parts and looks complete as factory. No mods that I can see.

I offered to buy it for just a little less than that a couple months ago-past by it the other day-has a couple flat tires and looks like the dog dish could now be missing unless he took them off so they don't go mising.

gotta be worth that

Are the floors and frame in good shape?  That quarter panel sure looks like a mess.

Were these cars worse than others for quarter panel rot?  I've seen a lot of old cars with the bottom of the quarters gone but it seems I've seen many more '68-9 Beamonts with quarters completely rotted like in the pic.

Looks like a nice original car to start with, other than the rot.  It's good to see one that hasn't been hot rodded for a change (not that hot rodding is bad, it's just nice to see an orig every now and then).

The first pic with the door open shows no frame.  So... hardtop!  smile

Thanks fellas...I missed the door open shot..
Bummer as it being a Post car sure would've made it worth more...especially being a '69!.

rusty-tired but its $2500 ! better to see the holes then holes that are covered with patches/bondo and its double or triple the price-parts or project it should be worth that-I offered $2000 when it was $3500 thinking there was no trouble getting $2500 but I guess I was wrong

things have sure softened up in the last month or two-I've had two guys stop and look at the 66 SD but nobody showed any cash-its way better than the 70 Charger was !

It's not a post, but it does have the exact same interior as my 69 Beaumont. They're the same door panels and seats as were used in the 300 deluxe Chevelles, post or hardtop.

Don't get me wrong.  It still looks like a good deal for the price.  A 70 Charger in that condition would probably be going for $8 - $10K, from what I've seen on moparts.com and elsewhere on the net.  I've always been into CPs and Mopars, but one of the main reasons that I'm souring on Mopars these days is the astronomical prices that are being asked for junk.  GM stuff seems to be much cheaper for a comparitive model.

I was just wondering about whether GM didn't paint the inside of the quarters or something as it seems like the quarters rot out much worse than the rest of the car, and worse than other brands I've seen.  Of course this is all speculative as I've never done a study on it or anything...wink Just my curiosity.

If I was closer and had a shop to work in I'd consider this car.  It would be cool to fix the body but keep it basically original with a little patina showing.  If I win the lottery in the next little while I'll definitely pick it up!  biggrin

Hang tight on the '66.  Looks like a good car just waiting for the right new owner! thumbsup.gif
