With apologies in advance to the Mustang lovers, I never like them when they were new (I was 7 years old!) and still don't. Sorry, but that's my personal opinion.

I guess I won't be bidding!

Yes I agree, fastback Mustang are nicer like the 1968 in Bullit. 1964 was a good year for me and the musclecar era, the Mustang and GTO came out so did I.    LOL !

A friend of my dad's owns the first 64 1/2 Mustang sold new in London, Ontario. It is poppy red and he regrets not ordering the 260 V8! This one has the 6 cyl, 3 speed on the floor. He still owns it and I believe it only has 18000 miles. Nice car but I don't really have any desire to own one. The 68 GT Fastbacks are nice.

Now someone needs to pull that late build 69 Beaumont out of Stephens!

There are a few nice Mustangs but man there are way too many of them. To me there's no thrill to it, you're just 1 of 100 thousand Mustangs that were made that year. I had a 66 with a little over 60 thousand miles on it, original interior, factory air, nice little car. Wife loved it but got rid of it when the second kid came along. Neither of us missed it because there were tons more to choose from if you ever wanted another one. I like the uniqueness of the cars on this forum.

Oh, don't worry, I know there's Mustang fans here. They just never cut it for me.

I happen to like 66 Grande Parisiennes. 99% of musclecar/classic car enthustiasts would turn up their nose at even an original big block 4 speed version of one of those.

The beauty of this hobby is the huge difference in tastes.

Worked yesterday on a Burger King Commercial. Our HERO car was a 1970 440 6pac RoadRunner, bright orange. First thing I did was verify the serial number, V code is correct. I then hear others saying it's worth 150,000? I ponder that number, for a box with a big engine...

What is the deal with serial numbers and engine codes. So what if it's the earliest or latest? Crap is more common then style...

Give me a Boattail Riveria instead...

My first 'real car' was a Mustang. A 69 428 CJ 4 speed shaker that I paid $2500 for  in 1970.

I sold it in '74 for the same amount and figured I had the world by the a$$. I wish I still had it today....it was the one that 'got away'. It never ceases to amaze me what is for sale on epay.

My brother had a Cougar with the same drivetrain.  It was insane!  And those sequential turn signals, now that was brass with class!  But the cops were always hassling him.  He wanted to keep it too but was commuting 20 miles to work each way and the gas was killing him.  So he sold it and bought a nice economical 70 Acadian 4 door sedan with a six banger!  No more hassles!  The Acadian rusted away in a couple of years though...
