Thanks to all of you, it's very nice to see such positive comments!
A  few more pics... In June 3rd will be a holiday and it's going to happen a big classic car  show in another state. I'm trying to go together with my dad driving the Poncho, but I'm not sure if we can, because I can't miss work the day after and the day before the holiday... If we go there, I'll post some other pics!

Your car is far too pretty to drive, everything is spotless now!

If you go, be especally careful on the roads, if Brazil is anything like the USA, holiday traffic is terrible and the drivers are especially bad then.

Hello !

Me and my dad went to the car show last week, unfortunately we couldn't go driving  the car, because the documents weren't ready by the day. We changed the color of the car and the docs needed to be changed (bureaucracy is awfully slow here...). So we had to carry the Poncho in a towing truck.
The good news is that we won the prize in it's category (50s decade), together with a convertible Edsel and a Hudson. It's called Brazil Classics Fiat Show, at the city of Araxa and it's the most prestigious classic car show in the country! The Poncho really caught people's attention, no one had seen one like it before.
After it, the car went back to the shop to correct a few things that still aren't ok, but that is normal in a restoration process, I think. smile
Here are some pictures of it and of some other cars that showed up there. Hope you like it.

This 1936 Mercedes won the 1st prize. This is an amazing car... A  German collector that was  in the show made an offer of US$5 million to the owner!!!!

Congratulations! Well deserved! Cool looking trophy, too!

Sorry you had to truck it but safer that way, I think.

If you have the chance, you won't regret visiting Brazil. This is a beatiful country and there are hundreds of beautiful places to know. If you stop by Brasília, we'll surely take a ride in the pontiac. biggrin

Until 1960, there was no real auto industry here, there were only imported and CKD cars in Brazil, so cars a great variety of cars from europe and north america ended up here... that's why you see so many brands and rare cars in the shows.
