Road Trip coming

smile  Up coming road trip to Indiana after Christmas!!! Going to pick up parts for the 52 Torpedo back, found a complete set of floor pans for it at a very "reasonable price" way less than I can get them here, so I think it will be worth the drive & one night in hotel, [what you do for a BARGOON] Brand new pans, but the seller never used them on his project. Gotta get lucky some time, doesn't usualy happen to me  Pete

Maybe you could stop (just before border) and pick up Todd's used floor pans, that are being shipped from California to Port Huron Mi.   Might as well import them all at once?   just a thought....

Road trip sounds like fun. Have not done one of those for years. What do you need to cross the boarder these days, pass port .

I'm not trying to ruin your road trip but I'm going down I-69 tomorrow to 10 miles north of Indianapolis.  I will be meeting a guy from Texas to trade my dually for cash and a Olds Cutlass.  Next Tuesday, Dec. 22, I will be going down again to spend Xmas with my kids and their families.  My daughter and her family live 10 miles north of the Indy loop, I-465.
I live in Michigan, 115 miles from Port Huron.  If I can help anyone with parts let me know.  I offered to let Todd ship to my shop here in Saginaw, then pick up later or meet me at the border.  I guess he found someplace closer to ship the pans from CA.

It looks like I'm going to have the pans shipped to SCC Parcel Pickup in Port Huron.
I appreciate your offer to have them dropped to your shop.

Todd

Well the day is here, change in destination, going to Columbus Ind. as the guy tells me parts are at that location. Heading to Toronto in one hour, staying at buddies house, then leaving from there "early" Tue. morning. Weather looks good so far. LOVE aROAD TRIP when cars & parts are involved!!!

I'm back, had a GREAT trip. We hit a snow storm in between London & Chatham, down to 10km. p/hr stuck behind 4 "gang" plows. Once we came out of it clear roads all the way. Got asked some "weird questions" crossing over!!!  Made it to Columbus Ind. by 2:30 got my 4 floor pans, headed for the hotel. Met our friend from West Virginia, went out for a nice dinner & then sat around in the room, talking & "havin a few" Up & on the road at 7:ooam Hit the border at 1pm no problems crossing back, never even looked at the parts, just said "have a nice day" dropped Brian off in West Hill, & was home at 7:30 Truck was great on gas, one & 1/2 tanks down from West Hill &  about the same back, haven't figured it out but I think it's close to 23 MPG & over 650 mi each way

Glad you had a safe trip; you never know what obstacles the weather may bring at this time of year.
